Varun Beverages Limited Sets Up a Green Field Project in Congo with Neologic Engineers

VBL, a part of RJ Corp Group and PepsiCo’s franchisee, manufactures, distributes, and sells a wide range of Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSD) and Non-Carbonated Beverages (NCB) including packaged drinking water. VBL is a diversified business conglomerate with interests in beverages, quick-service restaurants, ice-creams, and healthcare.
Brands of PepsiCo produced and sold by VBL apart from packaged drinking water under the brand Aquafina include;
- CSD: Pepsi, Pepsi Black, Mountain Dew, Sting, Seven-Up, Mirinda Orange, Seven-Up Nimbooz Masala Soda, and Evervess.
- NCB: Tropicana Slice, Tropicana Juices (100% and Delight), Seven-Up Nimbooz, and Gatorade.
Challenges Faced by VBL
VBL wanted to set up a green field project in the Congo for carbonated soft drinks. They wanted to tap into the African market with their carbonated beverages. To do so they required processing lines that could produce highly concentrated beverages to meet the rising demand for CSD beverages. Here, Neologic Engineers stepped in to provide state-of-the-art beverage processing equipment to meet their needs.
Solutions Provided by Neologic Engineers
Neologic Engineers designed a beverage processing plant that was uniquely engineered to their requirements. The beverage processing equipment supplied by them consisted of:
- Concentrate dissolving system tank
- Sugar syrup dissolving system with a jet mix system
- Ready syrup tanks with a circulation system
- Specially designed Master divert panel
Challenges Faced by Neologic Engineers
While commissioning the plant at the Congo site, there were adverse health conditions. Localities were falling sick in huge amounts due to the widespread dengue. Despite the adversity, the Neologic Engineers project team completed and handed over the project on time. They ensured that all the staff members working on-site maintained hygienic conditions by conducting proper sanitization activities and regular employee health checks.
Results
After handing over the project, a trial production was conducted. In this trial, VBL could successfully process their carbonated soft drinks with the desired results. The equipment supplied by Neologic Engineers proved to be of top-notch quality and delivered as promised.
