Neologic Engineers Collaborate with Dabur for a New Juice Plant in Indore

About Dabur

Started as an Ayurvedic Medicinal Company in 1884, Dabur has completed over 138 years of providing natural and herbal products in the world. Dabur has successfully transformed itself from being a traditional family-run business to a globally managed organization. Dabur now has a portfolio of over 250 Herbal and Ayurvedic products which include multiple brands spread across various sectors: Home & Personal Care, Cosmetics, and Food & Beverages.

Challenges Faced by Dabur

Dabur India has already set processing lines that are fully functional for their beverage production. Their juice processing lines present in Phase 1 and Phase 2 even though functioning efficiently lacked an aseptic storage tank. Their processed product was directly going into the filling machine. The lack of aseptic storage tanks created issues with the product storage at the time of breakdown or cleaning.

To overcome the situation and expand their beverage production capacity, Dabur India wanted to start a new production line. This new line is named as Phase 3.

Solutions Provided by Neologic Engineers

Understanding the needs and requirements of Dabur, Neologic Engineers stepped into the designing and implementation of a comprehensive solution to scale up their production and plant. Neologic Engineers provided the following processing solutions for their Phase 3 production line:

  • Aseptic Storage Tank of 30KL & 12KL Capacity with Sterilizer of 18KLPH & 10KLPH Capacity.
  • UHT Sterilizer of 10KLPH capacity.
  • Glucose handling lines that could handle with high viscosity.
  • Heat treating system to maintain the glucose line temperature for a smooth flow.

Apart from providing processing lines for fruit juice, Neologic Engineers did extensive research and development for their further requirement of processing Coconut Water. We made a few changes in the earlier line that could also process coconut water along with other fruits.

Key Features of the Equipment

The team at Neologic developed equipment that could meet their production and product requirements that are:

  • 100% drainable and easy to clean.
  • Adaptable for multiple product variants on a single processing line.
  • Meet the global design, engineering, and manufacturing standards for Aseptic Storage and UHT Sterilizers.
  • Designed for high efficiency and low maintenance.

Neologic Engineers managed the project from designing, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. Neologic Engineers deployed a team of experts, electrical and mechanical engineers, on-site for a smooth trial run, aiming for the earliest start of commercial production.

Results

The experienced team at Neologic Engineers successfully met Dabur’s strict deadlines, aseptic storage and sterilizer requirements, and optimal utilization of available space, all while delivering the plant on schedule.

Looking at the successful commissioning of Phase 3, Dabur decided to allot their Phase 4 project of Juice line cum Coconut Water line to Neologic Engineers.
