Krishna Milk Union Joins Hands with Neologic Engineers for Setting Up Vijaya Dairy’s New Plant in Veeravalli, Vijayawada

Vijaya Milk is renowned for its rich and creamy texture. They manufacture ghee, flavored milk, paneer, curd, buttermilk, ice cream, sweets, and lassi. Today, Vijaya Dairy symbolizes purity, quality, and trust ensuring the highest quality of milk and dairy products through stringent quality control measures.

Vijaya Dairy Production and Plant Requirements

Vijaya Dairy with their pre-existing lines was already handling and processing 3 to 4 LLPD of milk. They being a well-known brand in the other South Indian States, desired to expand their horizons and capture the Hyderabad market as well. To achieve this goal, they planned to set up a new plant on a 27-acre land parcel right in Veeravalli, Vijayawada.

They process milk for products like milk pouches and curds in multiple capacities. Also, they majorly produce reconstituted milk (RCM) in the lean period using milk powder and butter oil. Some of the major production constraints they faced were high labor costs, utility consumption, and maintaining high hygienic standards.

To overcome their production constraints and expand their production capacities, they approached Neologic Engineers for complete automated engineering solutions.

Solutions Provided by Neologic Engineers

Neologic Engineers understood Vijaya Dairy's requirements and designed a fully automated plant with a processing capacity of 5LLPD which could further be expanded to 6LLPD. This plant was a complete engineering solution which included:

Neologic Engineers also supported Vijaya Dairy with installing the packaging equipment with the production lines and CIP system. Neologic Engineers also helped them with vendor selection for utilities saving a significant amount of money. They also were guided for the RO water systems required for the processing lines. The pre-existing utilities in Vijaya Dairy were also fully optimized for higher yield return.

All modular designs delivered by Neologic Engineers are fully customized. Neologic Engineers provided utility engineering solutions as a good gesture. They were also given solutions for effluent wastewater treatment.

Commissioning and Its Challenges

Vijaya Dairy had to launch its products in the Hyderabad market before the summer’s hit. To achieve their production goals, they set stringent timelines for Neologic Engineers. Being a complete greenfield project, everything was required to be done from scratch, from design to implementation. There were a few design challenges as this was Neologic Engineers' first high-value dairy plant. Being the infrastructure built on the sidelines with the equipment setup, the Neologic Engineers team aggressively worked and delivered the project in just four months span.

Desired Results

With aggressive commissioning and collaboration, Neologic Engineers delivered the Vijaya Dairy Plant in Veeravalli in four months. This plant met all the criteria Vijaya Dairy had set. As planned, Vijaya Dairy could successfully expand its reach in the Hyderabad market and increase its market portfolio.
